Oyster Shell Reimagined

Sculpting Waste into Wonderful: Oyster Shell 3D printed Vase

Our latest creation is an 3D-printed vase—a sculptural form, crafted using innovative filament made from reclaimed oyster shells. This project merges sustainable materials with refined design, showing how waste can be elevated into objects of beauty and meaning.

Developed initially as an R&D exploration, the vase’s ribbed, organic shape was expertly translated into a scalable 3D form. Its success caught the attention of Virgin Voyages, who selected this very piece as a featured styling element aboard their Brilliant Lady ship—underscoring its refined aesthetic and brand alignment.

Each vase celebrates the subtle texture and clean tones of oyster-shell filament, showcasing what’s possible when sustainability meets expert design. More than a single object, it’s part of a broader narrative around material innovation and collaboration in premium environments.

Ideal for commercial clients—hotel lobbies, curated retail interiors, or high-end brand spaces—the vase demonstrates Spared’s capacity to transform reclaimed materials into bespoke design statements, tailored for discerning partners.
