Archiboo Awards 2024 – Sustainable Trophies Made from Post-Consumer Waste

Spared partnered with the Archiboo to craft a bespoke set of ten trophies from reclaimed plastic—designed to honour architectural innovation without compromising on sustainability. Each trophy is made from a blend of blue plastic offcuts and clear record waste that as donated to use from a UK record label, set into a white base and finished with a cork side panel. The result is a cohesive collection with thoughtful detail and a striking presence.

As a startup born from our sister agency Volume Creative, we were especially proud to work on this project—having previously been shortlisted for an Archiboo Award ourselves. It was an opportunity to turn the values we share with Archiboo into something tangible.

“Only 12% of plastics thrown away in the UK are recycled,” says Volume partner Emma Lally. “As designers, we feel it’s our responsibility to curb waste going to landfill from our built environment projects.”

This collaboration is part of a wider commitment to helping brands, organisations, and awards programmes reflect their values through objects that are beautifully made, locally crafted, and deeply intentional.
