Standout Sustainable Exhibition Design
At HIX London, we collaborated with Table Place Chairs and our sister studio Volume Creative to create a striking exhibition stand crafted from our recycled material. Showcased at the 2021 Hotel Interiors Experience (HIX), the installation featured a sweeping emerald-green bar with a flowing white “river” effect made from reclaimed DVD/CD cases, alongside a ribbed wooden base side table sporting a blue& white top made from bottle tops. Additionally, a large console table made from recycled/broken children’s toys, took pride of place at the entrance to the stand.
This attention-grabbing combination of texture, colour, and craftsmanship was a true demonstration of sustainable exhibition design, highlighting how waste materials can be elevated into premium finishes.
Our design not only anchored the space visually but reinforced our mission: to transform waste into luxury surfaces. The bold detailing—seamless joinery, river-like transitions, and tactile finishes—captured attention and sparked conversations about material innovation. The stand also linked seamlessly to Volume’s broader approach to responsible interior design.
As featured by ArchiExpo, Volume Creative’s use of our recycled material was praised for bringing novel aesthetic and ecological value to exhibition spaces .
