Behind the scenes, our R&D practice is where experimentation meets purpose. From our workshop in Brighton, we explore how overlooked waste can be reimagined into new surfaces, materials, and scalable design solutions — all crafted in the UK.

While many of our collaborations remain confidential due to the sensitive nature of the work, our mission is to push boundaries in sustainable material innovation. Whether we’re developing custom composites for brands or prototyping modular forms from unconventional waste, each project is driven by our belief that waste is a resource, not a burden.

Our approach is hands-on and iterative: we test, break, refine and repeat — until we arrive at materials that are not only beautiful, but functional, safe, and ready for real-world use. We work directly with architects, designers, manufacturers and brands who share our vision for responsible, future-focused design.

From single-use plastics and post-consumer packaging to food waste and industry by-products, our goal is to create enduring material solutions that help keep waste out of landfill — and in the loop.
